Outstanding mole! Tortillas were perfection and handmade. Their aqua fresca of lime and cucumber was choice and very hand made. Prices were great. Restaurant was immaculate and everything had a sense of pride. Come and support this place!

The entire staff, from kitchen to hostess, had a very welcoming attitude. Complimentary lentil soup was so good. The coffee had a hint of cinnamon or cocoa, reminded me of Abuelitas hot chocolate. We both got the chilaquiles with steak and my husband added eggs to his.

The food was all delicious. We had the 4 molotes, the empanada de mole amarillo, and the taco oaxaqueño with tasajo. Ernesto, our waiter, gave us great recommendations on the food. The decor was colorful and fun. Highly recommend this place.

Taquitos Enmoladas with their mole negro was fantastic! Great flavors, good prices, and friendly service. Our 9 month old has allergies, they were helpful confirming dish ingredients. The Micheladas were delicious as well, we can’t wait to come back

Excellent service and food. Servers were great on both of my 2 visits, and the enchiladas are amazing! Clean restaurant with authentic taste. 5/5

I was pleasantly surprised to find this jewel in Seaside. I was looking for a Mexican restaurant, and found El Padrino. I like Oaxacan food and decided to give it a try. I'm happy to report that the place is excellent and quite authentic. I had a Oaxacan taco (in a 10 inches long corn tortilla!). The restaurant agreed to my request to mix beef and pork. The rest of the menu, the "moles", "tlayudas", empanadas, etc. looked authentic. You won't find the usual Mexican food fare: burritos, street tacos, etc, but I didn't mind. Talking to the staff, they want to focus only on Oaxacan food, which is quite understandable if it helps keep the food quality high. Others didn't seem to mind, as the restaurant was quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommended. Ready to come back!

Rice and beans are flavorful. The rice reminds me of the chicken oil rice that comes with hainan chicken. I’m guessing they used chicken stock to cook it. It’s much better than white rice and not mushy. The rellenos peppers were flavorful and molotes were nice as well. Chips a bit burnt but appreciated the fresh tortillas and chips and salsa. They didn’t charge extra for them. Good friendly service. Kids menu of the same items but in smaller portions.

Authentic Oaxaca Food - 5 Stars If you're looking for truly authentic Oaxacan cuisine, this place is a gem! The seasoning in every dish is spot-on — rich, bold, and full of traditional flavor. You can really taste the love and heritage in every bite. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get, and the customer service is just as amazing. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive staff made the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Oaxaca flavor!
